After a defeat against Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Ancelotti admitted that he was not sure about his future, because Brazil is doing their best to persuade him to leave his position in the Spanish capital. Allegedly, they set Ancelotti a deadline for the end of May to accept their approach, but there is a scenario in which they may not have to negotiate with Real Madrid.
The Italian manager is 'more out than in', report relevant, and they say that he has been increasingly aware that this is the end of his cycle this season. Cadena Cope, as quoted by Sport, go one step further and say that Ancelotti will not guarantee the end of the season, with eight more games left. Their information is that if Los Blancos loses the Copa del Rey final and against Barcelona in Montjuic on 11 May, then Ancelotti will be fired with only three games to go on 11 May.
It leaves them in a curious scenario. They will undoubtedly want to bring in a new manager, with Xabi Alonso and Jurgen Klopp linked to the position, but should quickly point out to someone. Their club World Cup campaign starts on June 18, just 24 days after the end of the League season. Previously, sports director Santiago Solari was called a potential emergency candidate to take the reins when Ancelotti's task was threatened in November.
