Former UFC champion Charles Oliveira is at the top of the Paddy Pimblett wish list.
Charles Oliveira was one of the many selection names that Paddy Pimblett called on UFC 314.
Pimblett won the biggest victory of his UFC career by completing Michael Chandler in the UFC 314 Co-Main event last weekend in Miami. It remains unbeaten in his UFC official period and, after beating Chandler, is about to enter the lightweight title mix.
Pimblett called Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and Arman Tsarukyan in his interview after the fight with Joe Rogan. A matchup with Poirier is unlikely in the midst of recent reports that the pension fight of the former title Challenger will take place for the BMF -Riem.

Charles Oliveira Defiant in response to Paddy Pimblett's callout
But Pimblett, perhaps the biggest star in the UK MMA next to Tom Aspinall, does not shy away from the biggest challenges of the Division after UFC 314. A matchup with Oliveira would be very happy, not only for the title photo of the division, but also with two fan favorites.
On the other hand, Oliveira is not happy to be against Pimblett.
During a recent interview with Portal Do Vale Tudo, Oliveira Pimblett's Callout answered on UFC 314.
“I am looking for the title. I don't run anyone away, I never did that. I'm not going to run away now,” said Oliveira. “I am ready to fight one of these guys. I respect them all, but I will determine my own pace and my own game. So why not? If it is for the title, why not fight Topuria?
“I am looking for the title. I don't want to fight another fight to wait for the title, no. That doesn't interest me, I want to fight for the title … I don't even think about it [Pimblett]. I think of a title, so I can't think of the boys who are among me.
'[Paddy] Is a tough boy, a child who is on the rise. But I don't even think about that. “
Oliveira could possibly be confronted against Islam Makhachev in the next lightweight Matchup, if Ilia Topuria does not get the next nod. A collision between Topuria and Oliveira has also been thrown around in the midst of speculation that Makhachev could leave the belt for a run at Welterweight.
Pimblett has also hooks with Tsarukyan in recent days, after Pimblett Tsarukyan mocks for his short-notice-deedible extracts on UFC 311. Tsarukyan does not seem interested in a collision, but he has to win at least another fight before making a title Shot casus.
Paddy Pimblett's rival not impressed by UFC 314 finish
Another interesting element of the discussion about the next fight by Pimblett is Topuria. Pimblett and Topuria have had a long -term feud, from their scrap in a hunting hotel in London in 2022.
While many Pimblett praised for his performance at UFC 314, Topuria was not one of them. He believes that Pimblett's victory was a product of Chandler's slide of his physical prime, rather than a characteristic victory.
While the mystery around the following fights of Pimblett and Oliveira is holding, a matchup between them can be on the table for the matchmakers. But for now, Oliveira is aimed at other companies.
