Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a late winner to help al-Qadsiah to beat a 2-1 win over Al-Nassr, who are now looking over their shoulders in the Saudi Pro League.
Match report
Al-Nassr thought they had saved a late draw by Sadio Mane, but former arsenal captain Aubameyang denied them part of the loot.
Al-Qadsiah started clearly, but found no breakthrough up to the 35th minute. Aubameyang was refused by Bento from the box, but Turk Al Ammar was present to hand in the rebound.
Cristiano Ronaldo tried to find a breakthrough before half-time, but did not succeed in testing in Koen Casteels, where Al-Nassr rarely created openings to really bring the Belgian into trouble.
Mane was right with their only shot on goal in the second half; Otavio played a nice lob over the top to eliminate the defense of the hosts, and the winger was wearing it in the box before he shot past Castels.
But Al-Nassr was caught at the back four minutes later. Bento rushed from his line to close Nahitan Nandez, which switched a cross in the box, and landed in the empty net in the Aubameyang loop.

Al-Qadsiah is now fifth, only two points behind Al-Nassr, but level on points with the fourth placed Al-Ahli, who stormed a 5-0 win against 10-man Al-Fayha earlier on Friday.
Riyad Mahrez stole the show for the hosts and played a role in all five goals while hunting themselves for a Champions League place.
He set all three goals in the first half, with Ibanez who was on his way twice in the 17th and 37th minutes before Ivan Toney added their third to the thrust.
Orlando Mosquera received a straight red card three minutes in the second half after handling the ball outside his box, because it went from bad to worse for Al-Fayha from there.
Mahrez was polluted by Faris Abdi to win the penalty that Toney converted in the second half before the former Manchester City Voorwaarts on the score sheet with nine minutes, ending from the box.

Elsewhere Damac Al-Kholood jumped after beating 3-1 in Friday's early game.
Georges-Kevin N'koudou yielded two penalties in the first half to give Damac in control, and although Myziane Maolida halved the shortage in the second half, Nicolae Stanciu lived for the points.
