The fighting career of UFC Hall of Famer Frankie Edgar did not end on a positive note.
UFC Bantamweight Chris Gutierrez is one of the most dangerous puzzles to solve in the 135 pound division. Prior to his return to UFC Kansas City, the biggest victory of Gutierrez's career was at the expense of all time.
Gutierrez and former UFC Lichtweight Champion Frankie Edgar Kwadraaten for a sold-out crowd in the legendary Madison Square Garden on UFC 281. It was seen as the potential last UFC fight of Edgar, but with a victory, Edgar would probably have postponed his pension plans.
Gutierrez was relatively unknown for the UFC fan base that UFC 281 introduced, because many went for Edgar to come back to the winning column in friendly territory. But that changed when both bantam weights entered the Octagon.

Gutierrez quickly found his rhythm against Edgar and landed several annoying legs that quickly suppressed Edgar's progress. Gutierrez had Edgar on his back foot for as long as the fight lasted about two minutes.
In the two minutes of the first round Time Gutierrez, a potential branchedown attempt by Edgar perfect, with a knee walking to Edgar's Kin. The knee immediately hit Edgar unconscious and surprised the MSG.
It also led to a heartbreaking moment when the Edgar family was Cageide. But Gutierrez, stylish in the defeat, shared a moving moment with the former UFC champion after he was recovered.
The victory raised the stock of Gutierrez in the bantam weight department. But at the moment Gutierrez is a featherweight and will be confronted with John Castaneda in UFC Kansas City next Saturday.
Edgar announced his retirement in De Kooi Na UFC 281 and entered the UFC Hall of Fame last year.

Ian Machado Garry warned UFC Kansas City Co-Headliner prior to Welterweight Clash
UFC Kansas City contained a welterweight headliner between Ian Machado Garry and Carlos Prates, two of the brightest young stars in the division. Prates was supposed to fight UFC 314 before his planned opponent Geoff Neal withdrew due to injury.
Only a few days from UFC Kansas City, Garry Prates sent a hair -raising warning about what he intends to perspire into the cage. Garry and Prates are two of the most dynamic strikers of good weight, making a high point of both parties a strong opportunity.
Gutierrez and other top names will try to make a statement in UFC Kansas City. Expect in a new weight class that Gutierrez is trying to release a similar performance as his Edgar Knockout.
