Dana White defended Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz after infamous post-fight brawl: ‘Give me a break’

It is 15 years since the notorious fight after the fight at Strikeforce: Nashville.

In April 2010, Jake Shields survived 'laid down twice' to defend his middleweight title by then performing Henderson in five rounds.

After the fight, he celebrated in the cage with his team, including Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz and Gilbert Melendez.

His interview, however, was interrupted by ex-open, Jason 'Mayhem' Miller, who called for a rematch.

Dana White responds to Nashville Brawl

Miller's attempt to hijack the interview of Sheilds after the fight led to a massive fight with the Diaz brothers.

Punches, elbows and stairs were thrown into wild scenes that the commentator called 'ridiculous'.

Nick and Nate took the victim of the return for the fight, but UFC boss Dana White pointed to the debt on StrikeForce because he could attack Miller in the cage to confront paints after he had pulled a monumental upset.

“What do you think is going to happen? I saw people talking:” Well, the UFC is doing the same “. No, we don't do that,” White said at the time.

“First of all, we are very controlled about who goes in and out of that octagon after a fight. If there is still a fight that we are going to set up, wait until the man is done with his interview, then you put the other man in and let them say what they want to say to each other.

“You not only let hunters come in and do what they want to do. I really believe that the Diaz brothers take a lot of play for this thing. Number one, Jake Shields first pushed him and Gilbert Melendez was also in the midst of it.

'Ask 1000 people this question:' If a fight breaks next to the Diaz brothers, what do you think will happen? “Is that a shock for someone?

“Come on! Take me – – break.”

Dana White Signed Jake Shields

The Vechtvecht did not turn off the white after the fight and brought Schilden in the most important promotion of MMA.

A split decision victory over Martin Kampmann in his UFC debut was enough to earn a title shot.

Georges St-Pierre postponed the shields in five rounds to defend his belt of Welterweight April 2011.

Shields finally ended his UFC Run with a 4-3 record, including great name victories over Tyron Woodley and Demian Maia.

In 2018 he retired after a loss of the first round against Ray Cooper III on PFL 10.
