Bayern Munich drove to a 4-0 win to Bundesliga thrusters Heidenheim to go to the top with four more games.
Bayern sets the victory to 72 points, although the second placed Bayer Leverkusen gets the chance to cancel the victory in their match against St. Pauli on Sunday.
The side of Vincent Kompany did not hang around in their pursuit of three points and raced in a lead of three goals in just 36 minutes.
First Harry Kane directed the ball home after he was found by Michael Olise at 12 minutes, before Konrad Laimer doubled the lead in 19 minutes and Kingsley Coman ended the match as a match with a 36th minute goal.
Kane could have had a second goal after just 22 minutes, but went just wide when the pressure on the home goal was ruthless.
Joshua Kimmich made it 4-0 after a shot in the corner in the 56th minute to make it a routine.
Heidenheim then returned to the game and almost pulled a goal back just after the hour, although visiting goalkeeper Jones Urbig was alert to deny Sirord Conteh.
After the result, Heidenheim are seven points of safety and occupy the relegation play-off place, two points above the bottom two.
Next for Bayern Munich is a home game against Mainz next Saturday, before matches against RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach.
