Man Utd ‘ready to offer Aston Villa shock swap deal’ to offload Marcus Rashford permanently

Manchester United is reportedly prepared to offer Aston Villa a shock change deal to close the permanent exit of Marcus Rashford.

The attacker was borrowed from Villa Park in the January Park transfer window and has shown flashes of his earlier glare.

Rashford, 27, helped Aston Villa reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League before it was eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain.

He has the chance to help the West Midlands side with silverware with a FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace on 26 April.

Rashford has scored a total of three times and helped six goals in his 15 performances with Aston Villa.

The Daily Star has suggested that the Red Devils would like to permanently break the ties with Rashford.

The report claimed that they are willing to offer the extraordinary star in a SWAP deal with which Ollie Watkins would move to Old Trafford.

It even suggests that Villa Rashford and a “considerable cash payment” could get for the English international.

Watkins, 29, has been a rather transfer target for Premier League -rival Arsenal.

The Gunners were connected to the former Brentford Ace last summer and in January, but Villa wanted to hold him.

The side of Unai Emery chose to cash in Jhon Duran to the Saudi Pro League to keep Watkins in Villa Park.

The 18-covered international is in good shape this season with 15 goals in the Premier League and another one in the Champions League.

He is contracted to Villa until 2028, after he brought a pen on paper in 2023 with a long -term contract.

In the meantime, Manchester United -legend Wayne Rooney Rooney Rashford has encouraged to return to Old Trafford for next season.

The retired attacker claimed that Rashford wants to build an inheritance at the club.

Speaking at Amazon Prime, he said: “I hope Rashford will go back to Manchester United and performs like he did tonight.

“That is what we all want to see as fans of Manchester United.

“Rashford wants to play for Manchester United, 100 percent.

“He is a Manchester boy, a fan of Manchester United.

“He had to play and it was clear that he would not play for the rest of the season.

“Sometimes you have to put the manager in a position where he can't leave you away.

“Marcus Rashford, in an ideal world, would like to play and leave an inheritance at Manchester United.

“Whether that is possible, I don't know, but that's what I would like to see.”
