Kompany hails ‘complete’ Bayern with title in sight

Vincent Kompany described the performance of Bayern Munich as “complete” after they had brought herself on the edge of Bundesliga Glory with the 4-0 Thrashing of Heidenheim on Saturday.

Harry Kane, Konrad Laimer and Kingsley Coman hit Bayern 3-0 on their relegation-threatened hosts within 36 minutes, while Joshua Kimmich added a fourth.

The victory took the Kompany team off nine points from title defender Bayer Leverkusen – who are opposite St. Pauli on Sunday – with only four rounds of the remaining season.

That means that the result should go elsewhere in their favor, Bayern could already conquer their record-expanding 34th German title in next Saturday when they organize Mainz.

And despite the fact that Heidenheim was 16th in the table and was currently on his way to the relegation play-off, Kompany wanted to praise his players.

“I know that now everyone will say that it is normal for Bayern that we win this way,” said Kompany, whose Bayern Side a Champions League exit suffered in midweek through Inter, reporters said.

“But if you look at the last matches of Heidenheim such as against Bayer Leverkusen, and how difficult that was for the opponents, I knew it would not be easy.

“It was a complete version, that is of course a big compliment for the boys after the somewhat difficult week.”
