Khamzat Chimaev did not last long to respond to the recent callout of Caio Borralho.
UFC Middenweight Competent Khamzat Chimaev's likely title shot was recently delayed after the reported injuries by Dricus du Plessis injuries. Although it is uncertain when Du Plessis returns to the Octagon, Chimaev is the supposed no. 1 competition after a dominant victory over Robert Whittaker in his last fight.
At the moment it is uncertain whether the UFC will opt for an interim fight in the middleweight title in the midst of the recovery of Du Plessis of injury. If that is the case, Chimaev will probably be one of the parties involved, and he has a potential match for an opponent after a recent social media back and forth.
Caio Borralho, who has repeatedly called for a confrontation with Nassourdine Imavov in recent weeks, would like to get his chance on a top candidate.

Khamzat Chimaev sends Caio Borralho a hair -raising response to combat callout
Borralho and Chimaev have previously trained together in their career and both parties have told similar stories about how things happened. In the midst of the injuries of Du Plessis, a collision between the former training partners could be concluded after the call of Borralho.
In two messages on X Bood Borralho to combat Chimaev in a potentially interim title fight.
“I know a man,” Borralho posted Sunday. '[UFC] You know who to call.
“Interim?”
It was not long before Chimaev noticed Borralho's tweets because he reminded the talented middleweight in their past sparring sessions.

In an interview from 2023 with MMA -Maker James Lynch, Borralho gave an honest review of how Chimaev was doing in the gym.
“It was very difficult, good training, and I evolved a lot,” Borralho said about Chimaev. “I think he can be successful in any way he wants … He can make some noise in both [welterweight and middleweight] Divisions. “
Chimaev continued with the full-time transition to the middleweight and is 4-0 out of 185 lbs in the UFC Octagon. In addition to his victory over Whittaker, Chimaev has placed former UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman on UFC 294.

After the news about the reported injuries from Du Plessis made the rounds on social media, Chimaev gave a rough response to the middleweight champion. Chimaev wrote 'This guy biggest bull —' in his first comments after the rumors of Du Plessis appeared.
At the moment, Du Plessis has not spoken and clarifies himself on his health status and timeframe for a return to the Octagon. Du Plessis recently defended his belt against Sean Strickland in their UFC 312 Rematch.
The rumors of the du Plessis injuries are an unfortunate development after Chimaev's teammate Darren teased to a title fight for the next fight of the star. Now the UFC put an unfortunate snag while they continue to work on stimulating the international fighting week of the promotion in June Pay-per-View-View card.
In the meantime, Borralho has not fought anymore since he defeated Jared Cannonier last August through a unanimous decision. He remains unbeaten in his UFC official period with recent victories over Abus Magomedov and Paul Craig.
