Manchester United fell against a disappointing loss of 1-0 against Wolves on Sunday – but fans did not stop speculating after seeing Ruben Amorim in conversation with a potential transfer target
Manchester United fans of Eagle-Eyed went to social media in a frenzy after Ruben Amorim was seen in a conversation with the summer transfer Target Matheus Cunha during Sunday's game against Wolves.
The Red Devils have passed a difficult afternoon at Old Trafford, while Pablo Sarabia hit a second half winner to ensure that the visitors would move a level with Amorim's besieged side in the Premier League table at 38 points.
But fans have taken the disappointing result after Amorim was seen with his arm around Cunha – a player who has been strongly connected to a transfer to United in recent weeks.
A number of united supporters quickly shared their thoughts about social media, in which some said that Amorim 'tapped the Brazilian star'. They wrote naughty on X: “Amorim literally taps him.”
Other people have also picked up the interaction, in which one user of social media writes: “See how Amorim speeds up to catch up with Cunha and knock him on the head. You can see that he wants him so badly.”
Another insisted that versatile attacker was nailed to become a member and said: “He replaces Alejandro Garnacho in our startline-up next season.”
During his time, Cunha settled at Molineux as a crucial player for Wolves and was heavily connected to a move in January before signing a new contract. It is thought that this deal includes a release clause of £ 62.5 million, however, with United among the clubs that are considering signing him at the end of the season.

While a movement for Cunha could soon be on Amorim's agenda, he first had to go after another bad result. When he was asked if it was another case of a step forward two steps back for United after their exciting triumph in the quarterfinals of the Europa League in midweek, he replied: “This season will end like this, so we have to take the positive way and work on what we need to improve. We have to look at everything we do in the market.
“We will see it. We will talk every day about next season and after a while we get what we need to improve the team.”
