Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was openly critical of young people Ansu Fati and Hector Fort for their reactions when the Blaugrana completed a comeback of two goals against Celta Vigo on Saturday. Although he understood their frustration, Flick was not happy with their lack of self -control at Montjuic.
Fort and Fati both reacted angry with it, while Ferran Torres was frustrated by being withdrawn by film against Celta. The German manager saw a word with Fort on the field, and on Monday a report seemed to claim that the coaching staff was pleased to see that all their players wanted to play.
However, that was not the message that Flick sent during his press conference before the game prior to the Barcelona Tuesday match with RCD Mallorca.
“Can I understand that they are not happy, disappointed or upset? Of course I can. I was also a professional player, I understand. They also want to show that they can help the team, show that they can help us achieve our goals. I can fully understand that.”
“Can I understand the reaction? No. It is not like that, I don't understand this. For me you have to accept it. We have won it, we have come back, it was a huge comeback of 3-1 behind. We were celebrating, and I think they were the right decisions. What I want to be now, we want the right response.
Flick hoped that in recent weeks their versions would serve sufficiently as a wake-up call for the Blaugrana.
“We don't know what will happen. Looking at the games of Barca and Real Madrid, they have been tough, against Celta and Athletic. La Liga is at a high level and the goal is not to drop points, but it is not easy, even if we do well.
And emphasized that the comeback against Celta had stimulated morally.
“What is important for me is that we always look at ourselves and try to improve. What happens after Dortmund and Celta, the most important thing is that things do better. We have the quality to win against each team. The next is the Celta match, when we had the big comeback, what I saw today was a lot of positive energy.”
“This is the good, the team is in a good mood, so that is positive and we have to continue.”
Barcelona urgently needs a reaction that goes beyond the comeback against Celta, with the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid on Saturday, followed by the semi-final of the Champions League against Inter, at least one will be without Robert Lewandowski. Since the international break, the best of Barcelona has only been seen in attacks and bursts, in particular against Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, amidst less impressive displays against Girona, Real Betis, Leganes and Dortmund in the return bone.
