Jamie Carragher criticized Tottenham after their defeat by Nottingham Forest when he claimed that the side of Ange Postecoglou resembles an 'academy' team.
Tottenham, who is in 16th place in the Premier League table but is safe for relegation, was in the forest after only 16 minutes, with Elliott Anderson and Chris Wood.
Although Richarlison got a goal back, it was still a frustrating night for Tottenham, who suffered 18 Premier League defeats this season.
Carragher claimed that Tottenham is 'so naive' with regard to how they play defensively.
Carragher said on Sky Sports: 'Spurs are just so naive, such as an academy sometimes how they perform defensively.
Lens-Baas will still, who was a guest on Monday Night Football, Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven took off for criticism in the structure of Wood's goal.
Still said: 'You can see that Van de Ven's contact with Chris Wood and then he just lets him have two or three meters space. You know when you give Chris Wood that time and space in the box with the quality of the delivery that he will score. '
Carragher added that Tottenham -goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is considered vulnerable when the ball enters the box.
Carragher said: 'They actually feel that this is a huge weakness for Tottenham. The goalkeeper is not great. He is not great on the first, he is not great for this one either. He is never great with the ball that comes in the box. It is definitely something that they have established that this is a weakness for Tottenham Hotspur. '
Postecoglou has often stated that he thinks his team has performed well, but is abandoned by a few errors, but Carragher says he is worried about such an approach.
Carragher expressed his conviction that Postecoglou should see Tottenham's actions of the ball as of the same interest as how they perform.
He said: 'I think when you listen to managers, you feel that you get the same interview because he is talking about the same problems, but it is his task to solve them.
'We should not forget that they are in poor form – they lost at Wolves 4-2 last week. The worries for me a bit if I was a spurs supporter, it's about the manager we play well, we have abandoned with a few errors.
'On the back of last week at Wolves, he said after the game that they were playing well. That would worry a bit. That would tell me that the only focus of a manager, not alone, but a big thing for him is how his team plays with the ball. If they play well with the ball, he will feel that his team played well.
“He will put that on a few mistakes tonight. You cannot say that you have played well at Wolves if you lose 4-2. Football is about the ball and without the ball and if you played well, this means that you did well in both categories and that never really happens with Tottenham. We have emphasized before the problems they have defensive and within 16 minutes they are beaten 2-0. '
Although it has been a miserable campaign for Tottenham in the Premier League, they still have a chance of glory in the Europa League and they will compete against Bodo/shines in the semi -final of that competition.
