Wilshere named Norwich interim manager and could send Ramsey’s Cardiff DOWN

Jack Wilshere has been appointed interim manager of Norwich after the dismissal of Johaness Thorup.

Dane Thorup has supervised an average season for the Canaries, which are currently 14th in the championship.

And the defeat of Easter Monday against Millwall has proven to be his last game that is in charge of the East Anglia Club, who have chosen to handle the ax before the season ends.

An excerpt from a club statement was: “Norwich City separated the company with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup with immediate effect.

“Assistant head coach Glen Knightsholm has also left his position at the club.”

Canaries sports director Ben Knapper said: “While we made this appointment with a long -term focus and in accordance with our broader club strategy and direction, recent results and performance have unfortunately considered it a change for us.

“I would like to record our sincere thanks to Johannes and Glen.

“They are both fantastic people who have worked tirelessly to help improve our football club and to help them move forward.

“We all wish the two the best in the next phase of their respective career.”

Wilshere, who was already part of the attitude of the Canaries, will supervise the last two games of the club of the championship season with the help of Tony Roberts and Nick Stanley.

Norwich will travel to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon to record Middlesbrough before going to Cardiff City the following weekend.

Middlesbrough hopes to pipen Coventry to the last play-off place, while Cardiff will offer to beat the drop on Carrow Road.

Wilshere was able to see the victory in their last match of the season banned his former Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey, who was in interim accusation of Cardiff after the Axing of Omer Riza by the Welsh Club last weekend.

Wilshere and Ramsey spent 17 and 11 years in Arsenal respectively.

But it is remarkable that they only shared the field 101 times during their stints with the North London Club.

And Ramsey admits that he wants him to play more matches with his colleague -before Gunner.

The Welshman said to the mirror: “Jack called it a day, which was very sad to see.

“[He was] Clearly an incredible player on his day, very talented. It was a pleasure to play with him.

'I wish I had the chance to play much more with him, but he was injured [and then] I was injured [laughs at the irony] – So we didn't get much time to play together. “

Wilshere will be confronted with a huge dilemma prior to the journey from Saturday to Middlesbrough.

He will run the Marathon in London on Sunday and will return a long train trip to the capital to the capital on Saturday to prepare for the race.
