Manchester United reaches a completely important summer transfer window and Ruben Amorim is happy that the club is selling a group of players to finance newcomers
Ruben Amorim has given Manchester United the green light to sell six players to finance the big overhaul needed in the summer transfer window. United knows the importance of the low season and are ready to support Amorim with transfers-but that deals must be financed.
United is 14th in the Premier League and their season is now based on the Europa League, where they are confronted with Athletic Bilbao in the semi -final after their wonderful comeback against Lyon. Their pulling power in the coming transfer window would be greatly increased by the qualification for the Champions League, but the sale is necessary anyway.
Just as Sir Jim Ratcliffe has hurt to emphasize, United is financially in a poor condition after he has posted the tax of £ 312.9 million in the past three seasons. They have a stunning net expenditure of € 1.3 billion (£ 1.08 billion) since 2015 – more than any other club in the world – and some of their players have to shift before they splash.
As reported by Mirror Football, Victor Osimhen is a target for a transmission of £ 40 million from Galatasaray, hoping that they hope to land wolves forward Matheus Cunha, who has a release clause of £ 62 million.
The need for a striker is clear, in which Rasmus Hojlund is struggling and Joshua Zirkzee was injured, but finding the money is another question, in which Amorim was told earlier in the season not to expect a huge amount of money to spend.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are all on loan and are the most obvious candidates that are sold. Rashford can generate £ 40 million by permanently joining Aston Villa, Sancho goes to Chelsea forever, Antony is searched for by Real Betis and Malacia, which is currently at PSV Eindhoven, clearly has no future at United.
Mirror Football also understands that United would be open to the sale of Casemiro and Alejandro Garnacho also for the right price to finance the arrivals of Osimhen and Cunha.
Garnacho has been a fixture for Amorim this season for Amorim, but has not been effective in the last third part and has returned only five goals and one assist this season in 32 Premier League performances. The 20-year-old winger attracted interest from Chelsea in January, with United appreciated him at around £ 50 million, partly due to the fact that he is under contract until June 2028. The Argentina International recently fueled speculation by giving his house for sale and could be on the move this summer.
Casemiro is one of the players who was called up by Ratcliffe as typing the wasteful approach to United on the transfer market and his exit would be less controversial this summer. The Brazilian has left for a year to his United contract, but at the age of 33 -he misses the physicality to meet Amorim's requirements.
He has previously attracted interest of the Saudi Pro League, but United may have to turn his arm to leave, given his recent words. “I have a year and a half on my contract and I would like to fulfill it here in Manchester,” he said in February.
“I feel at ease here and my family too. They have adjusted, we speak English. I am very grateful to the fans of Old Trafford and the club. I am happy at club level.”
