Mudryk passes lie detector in bid to clear name amid Chelsea ban

Mykhailo Mudryk has passed a lie detector test in an attempt to erase his name as drug cheat, is said.

The restless Chelsea star has currently been suspended and awaits a further result on a urine sample that tested positively on the forbidden Meldonium substance.

Two years ago, Mudryk signed Shakhtar Donetsk from the Ukrainian side and the CEO of his former club says that the player has undergone a polygraaf test organized by his lawyers.

Sergei Palkin said: “I spoke to Mudryk many times since this doping problem arose.

“He doesn't understand how it could have happened. He has no idea. No idea.

“So his lawyers organized for him to do a lie detector test that he has passed on. It will be part of the evidence that shows that he did not deliberately do something wrong.

“Mudryk has been clear, it is not his fault that he has tested positively. We must now discover how this happened and who did this. His lawyers try to find out.”

Unbelieving the taking forbidden fabrics is not a defense and Mudryk is confronted with a ban of four years.

He did not play since November 28 last year when he scored for Chelsea against Germans Heidenheim in the Conference League.

Traces of Meldonium were discovered in a routine urine sample that was submitted during the international service.

Palkin admits that his club is on the side of Mudryk because they still owe money as part of the transfer deal that could rise to £ 88 million with add -ons, but only if he plays regularly.

Mudryk, 24, has disappeared from the audience, because the news broke that he failed a drug test. He was not seen for months on the Chelsea training field.

Ukrainian football was destroyed by the Invasion Van Buren Russia in 2022, leaving many clubs in Dire Financial Straits behind.

Palkin said to Givemesport: “There are still no results from the B-Steek test, so that remains open. Nobody knows what happened. I wish Mudryk the very best. He is a top professional and a very good person. He must be protected.

“Shakhtar also has an established interest. There are bonuses from his move to Chelsea linked to his versions.

“If he does not play, this causes problems for us because we may be able to lose € 30 million (£ 25 million). So Shakhtar, Chelsea and Mudryk we are in one boat. We all support Mudryk and hope he will be able to continue to play football soon.

“The sale of Mudryk to Chelsea was a crucial deal for us.

“Without the Mudryk allowance I don't understand how we would have solved many, many problems.”
