Vinicius Junior will remain a Real Madrid player for the near future, as an agreement to expand his contract. The Brazilian has been heavily praised by Saudi Arabia since last summer, but he is ready to reject the chance to earn € 1 billion.
Last summer, Saudi Arabia opened conversations with Vinicius, and he decided to postpone contract discussions with Real Madrid until after the balloon d'Or. Discussions with Saudi Aarabia continued in December, and in February Vinicius met Saudi officials face to face in Prague, it was reported. The star attacker received the prospect of a five-year-old deal with € 200 million per season, but was not convinced by signing a long-term deal with Saudi Arabia, which was considered essential for them.
After they had considered their offer, Vinicius argued with Real Madrid, who, according to Cadena Ser, was always the priority of Vinicius. He has now decided to stay in the Santiago Bernabeu and will extend his deal until 2029 or 2030, in a deal announced in the summer.
