Tottenham are the most entertaining team in the 92 according to data

As the season ends, there will be some fans who think about a memorable year for their club, while others may ruin missed opportunities or just regret another disappointing campaign.

But how exciting has the promotion been? Well, e -mail sport has covered you because we have screamed the figures to see which teams have been involved in the most entertaining games and on the other hand the most boring.

There is no exact science of this, because teams with an impressive strong defense may be unfairly punished, while others have endured those gloomy campaigns and have admitted that a bucket of charge goals have been measured as more interesting sides to look.

Since those in the EFL have played more matches than their Premier League opposite hits, the data were collected by measuring the number of cumulative goals (for and against) in which each of the 92 teams has been involved before they share that by the number of matches played.

And despite their promotion back to the top flight, Burnley was measured as 'the most boring team' in the 92.

The Clarets scored 61 goals this season, the fifth highest in the division, but it is their remarkable defensive record that stands out.

The Side of Scott Parker has only admitted 15 goals in 44 games and keeper James Trafford, who has been nominated for the championship player of the season, has collected an amazing 28 clean sheets.

But with a cumulative goal of 76, Burnley's record of 1.73 per match is the lowest of each team in the 92.

The rest of the top five of the most boring teams in the 92 are Wigan (1.77 goals per match), Gillingham (1.91), AFC Wimbledon (2) and Stevenage (2.02).

The most boring Premier League team is Everton, who have an average of 2.24 goals in every match they are involved, although that ranks them a total of 16th.

The record of Man United of 2.55 goals per match means that Ruben Amorim's side is the second boring Premier League team, but the 42nd general.

In the meantime, Wigan behind Burnley has been measured as the most boring side in League One, while Gillingham are the unfortunate holders of that distinction in competition two.

Elsewhere, Tottenham's chaotic season sees them in 16th place in the Premier League after 18 defeats in 33 games.

Spurs fans, however, witnessed 112 goals at the time, a record of 3.39 each match, making them the most exciting outfit for the four layers.

Wolves are the next most entertaining at 3.30 goals per match, while the 3.21 of Peterborough United ranks them as the most compelling side of the EFL to look at, according to the data.

Norwich and Plymouth (3.02) share that honor in the championship with 3.02 goals per 90 minutes – and Swindon (3) are at the top of the tree in competition two.
