Wolves star Matheus Cunha has placed a cryptic message on social media with the forward edges closer to a summer movement to Manchester United.
Mail Sport revealed Monday that Man United is getting closer to an agreement with Cunha during a summer movement.
United will still have to activate the £ 62.5 million release clause of the Brazilian, but hope they have the conditions nowadays, while they still have headroom under profit and sustainability rules.
The 25-year-old Brazil international posted on social media on Wednesday from Wolves Training Ground, with the attacker a photo from the gym.
Cunha endorsed the photo 'Let's work we will … Too much conversation', while we teammates Yerson Mosquera and Nelson Semedo tagging in the background.
However, the mail comes in the midst of the growing expectation that the attacker could make a switch to Old Trafford this summer.
As Mail Sport revealed, Newcastle United has been the most important competition for Cunha's signature, and they wanted to use him to the left of their attack, but the 25-year-old seems to have been influenced by the prospect of playing a crucial role in Ruben Amorim's team recording.
Amorim has made no secret of his admiration for Cunha and praises his versatility and goals in output.
The United Manager was also seen in conversation with Cunha after United and Wolves met each other in Molineux and again in the tunnel in Old Trafford on Sunday.
Cunha seemed to publish reports on social media about his future.
Earlier this month he wrote about an Instagram story: 'Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool. '
The story was only visible for a handful of minutes before it was removed, but some Wolves fans criticized his message online.
Cunha responded to the account about wolves: 'Do you know what you want? If people don't like me here, I unfortunately go to the field to solve the problem of your favorite club. I am not here looking for alternatives to be important to someone.
“Fans carrots for their own, they don't always create setbacks.”
Talking wolves then answered and said: 'Completely untrue. You would have seen us prizes and support you from the first day. We report the news and what happens. Stop blaming your personal mistakes. '
In response, Cunha added: 'I'm sorry, but that's exactly what you want. The first to report fake news, not what was really in the news.
'I make a video and pretend it is not relevant. What you don't understand is that you are an opinion maker, if you don't like me, that's a good friend. Let's do the following, in common we only have the wolves I love so much. '
Man United Legend Gary Neville, who spoke earlier this week, insisted that Cunha would fit the Amorim system and help the club's search to add more goals to the team.
“They are desperate in that position, he would fit the system,” he told Sky Sports.
'They have let Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford go, they are currently playing with Garnacho, but that makes them skewed.
'They need someone who can beat players, someone who is just as good in the middle with the ball.
“They have to score goals, Manchester United.”
Cunha has scored 16 goals and offered four assists for wolves in 32 performances this season.
