Aston Villa has held internal conversations about a potential shock for departing Manchester Stads -Superster Kevin De Bruyne … but can be confronted with competition.
De Bruyne, 33, announced on social media that this season will be his last at the city and will leave the Etihad as a free agent in June.
According to Sky Sports, Villa weighs a movement that the star playmaker would see staying in the Premier League.
The Belgium International is reluctant to uprill its family from the UK and that has warned the most important rivals of the citizens, including the Villans.
The side of Unai Emery, however, would still be confronted with intense competition for the signature of De Bruyne
Four MLS teams – Inter Miami, Chicago Fire, NYCFC and DC United – have done research.
The American outfits have asked about the professional and financial expectations of the Belgian star.
But Serie A Side Como also wants to keep the former Wolfsburg star in Europe.
The Arsenal and Chelsea Legend Cesc Fabregas team does checks to see if there is a possibility to land the attacking midfielder this summer.
Sunsport previously revealed that Al-Nassr-Superster Cristiano Ronaldo ordered his Saudi club to make the former Chelsea star an offer that he cannot refuse.

De Bruyne is considered one of the largest midfielders in the Premier League history after gathering a stunning 107 goals and 177 assists in 417 performances with Man City.
The former Genk star also won six Prem titles, two FA cups, five competition cups and the Champions League 2023 that sealed a legendary Treble.
But despite his success at Etihad, it appears that the decision not to renew his contract was taken by the club instead of the player himself.
After the 2-0 victory of City with Everton, the legendary No10 said that director of football Txiki Begiristain and CEO Ferran Soriano held a short meeting to tell him that his deal would not be renewed.
De Bruyne said: “There was a bit of shock. I had no offer from them all year round and the club made a decision.
“It was clear that I was a bit surprised, but I have to accept it. To be honest, I still think I can perform at this level as I show, but I understand that clubs have to make decisions.”
De Bruyne 'Struggle'
It is understood that city manager Pep Guardiola was involved in the decision, but is not part of the meeting where De Bruyne was informed.
The Belgian said he struggled a lot in the days between discovering and becoming public with his social media post.
De Bruyne added: “It was half a week until I reported it and it wasn't fun. My family wasn't at home. They were on vacation, so it was a bit strange, but it is what it is.
“After the decision was made and when I came out, it was more a relief when I reported it to the outside world compared to when I knew it and no one else knew.
“You don't know what to do with the emotion with everyone and how you deal with it in the club.
“Now it's out, it's fine and people see how I am. I try to do my best and win games for the team. I love playing football, so that's it.”
