Arsenal Confident of Zubimendi Deal Despite Late Real Madrid Hijack Attempt

Arsenal is convinced that he will make Martin Zubimendi from Echt Sociedad their first signing of the summer – despite reports of a Real Madrid Kap atmosphere.

In January it was revealed that the Gunners had agreed to pay the release clause of £ 51 million from the Spanish midfielder, as well as sorting personal conditions, with a view to the following season.

In recent weeks, Real has been linked to a late Smash-and-Grac-Inval-Wanhtiek to strengthen their aging midfield after a disappointing campaign under Carlo Ancelotti, including losing 5-1 in total to Arsenal in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League.

But Sunsport understands that the Gunners still expect that Zubimendi, 25, North London chooses instead of Madrid -convinced of the Emirates project by Boss Mikel Arteta.

Arteta wanted Zubimendi to participate immediately in the winter window and offer competition for Declan Rice, Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey, only for Sociedad to demand that he stayed in San Sebastian for the rest of the season.

Liverpool was about to sign the Euro winner last summer, but for a last-minute U-Turn, one that ran the plans of the new boss Arne Slot.

The arrival of Zubimendi is regarded internally as a foreguined deal of Arsenal, but it is unlikely that it will be announced until the beginning of June.

It is an important company with the futures of midfielders Pareny, 31, and Jorginho, 33, in the air.

The contracts of the pair expire this summer. Pedey is connected to a move back to Atletico Madrid, with Barcelona also enthusiastic, but the Ghanaese would rather stay in London, and Arsenal is open to negotiating a short -term agreement.

Jorginho is considering interest from Brazil and the MLS, but also enjoys learning Arteta in Arsenal and would like to sign a rolling contract for one year. The Italian has taken his coaching badges in London Colney.

Zubimendi is expected to be the start of a huge summer of income for Arsenal, where Arteta reveals that it will be “big” after the appointment of the new sports director Andrea Berta.

Berta had no influence on the Zubimendi deal, but will now be charged with bringing in an elite striker, while also strengthening the general depth of the team, selling edges to raise cash and to increase the contracts of people like Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

For that reason Alexander Isak is possibly outside the reach of Arsenal, with a value between £ 100 million and £ 120 million by Newcastle, with Berta looking at Sporting Lisbon's £ 60 million Viktor Gyokeres, Red Bull Leipzigs £ 70 million Benjamin Sesko and Athlet.

A cheaper option at the top would enable more signing sessions in other areas.

Arsenal follows Espanyol keeper Joan Garcia with the current seasonal -hose Leen Spell from Neto Neto from Bournemouth who will end soon, after only playing this period once.

And while Kieran Tierney a move back to Scotland and Oleksandr Zinchenko is connected to a move, left back can be an area to strengthen.

Sunsport revealed in March that Espanyol's £ 12.5m Omar El Hilali was followed.
