Espanyol has accepted that this will be the reality, so they have started signing a new keeper. And one of their goals is Leo Roman from Mallorca, as reported by relevant.
Roman has had a very difficult season in Mallorca, after he was a backup of the first-choice keeper Dominik Greif. He has been reduced to only six LA Liga performances, but the last of those saw him produce an incredible performance against Barcelona when he made 12 Saves in a 1-0 defeat for the side of Jagoba Arrasate earlier this week.
After that spectacular display, Roman made it very clear that he is not happy with his situation in Mallorca.
“I don't get enough chances. Today it was possible to see that my situation is not the one who should be. I am not saying it for my teammate, but for the club's management.”
Roman will almost certainly leave Mallorca in the summer. He has no plans to extend his stay after 2026, so he will be cashed in. His release clause is € 10 million, and as Espanyol, Valencia consider him a replacement for Liverpool-bound Giorgi Mhamardashvili.
