Former United defender Gary Neville believes that Cunha fits well with the favorite system of the Portuguese and that signing him would be a step in the right direction.
“He fits this system that Ruben wants to play Amorim,” Neville told Sky Sports. “They have lost three players who fill that position so that they have to fulfill those roles or struggle. They have to score goals, Manchester United.
“You need players who can take risks, be good in the last third part and Cunha has a lot of competence. If I played against him, I would not want a player with a little fight, some of the best players in the world had a peak for them. I love a player with a character.”
