Barcelona is looking for a new defender with Jonathan Tah this summer, a constant transfer target for Hansi Flick.
The Catalan giants were connected to an offer for the German international prior to the 2024/25 season, but Bayer Leverkusen demanded a fee of € 25 million.
With the 29-year-old on the way to the last year of his contract, Barcelona rejected that price, with Bayern Munich also not willing to pay the requirements of Leverkusen.
Changes come into the Bayara, where Tah already tells the club that he will not sign an extension, and he could follow head coach Xabi Alonso.
While Alonso seems to be on his way to Real Madrid to replace Carlo Ancelotti, the Tah choices are divided between Munich and Barcelona, while getting a crucial call on his future.
According to Bundesliga expert Christian Falk, both clubs have contacted Tah, but the constant financial issues of Barcelona can make things difficult – with Bayern Munich who need a new center due to their problems in that position.
“Barcelona still has problems registering new players. Tah will be a free agent this summer, so the transfer itself would not necessarily be a problem, but it is not clear whether he could actually play in front of Hansi Flick,” he said.
“A player like Tah would be very important for Bayern Munich because they are currently missing a defensive leader. They are looking for one-them, because neither Dayot Upamecano nor Kim Min-Jae can be considered one.”
Bayern Munich's speed of the goal could be the vital factor in the Race for Tah, because they look at it quickly to move a problem position in the Vincent Kompany team.
Barcelona is not struggling in the middle of the exit, despite the rumors of the exit around Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia prior to the summer transfer window.
