Enzo Maresca watched behind me while he served the Touchline ban, he earned himself against Fulham -and he will be satisfied with what he saw when Chelsea stole a 1-0 win at Everton.
The game was shocked in life after 26 minutes when a good pressure from the home team Nicolas Jackson in turn saw the ball take and weigh it in the back of the Net van Jordan Pickford, his first goal since the return of injury.
It was by no means easy after they took the opener, because the blues dominated the possession, but failed to add more goals to their count.
Everton also had opportunities, and the side of David Moyes increased the pressure as the game continued and Robert Sanchez shouted several times in action in the second half.
Jackson thought he had finally given his side a safety net when the game ended, but the offside flag denied him his 11th Premier League goal of the season.
Three points bring Chelsea in a good position to fight for the coveted Champions League places, but they demonstrably have the most difficult run-in of the teams with which they compete.
For example, Sunssport's Lloyd Canfield rated the blues against Everton.
Robert Sanchez – 7
Credit where credit owes, Sanchez was a force to take into account.
In the early stages he looked like the same old shaky Sanchez, he came to claim crosses and then to spill, opportunities that a more dangerous opposition punished.
But as the game progressed, he made an essential salvation to deny Beto, was better in terms of his distribution, and at the end of the game he seemed that he had glue on his gloves – and claimed every cross in his direction.
Moises Caicedo – 9
Moi has demonstrably been Chelsea's player of the season as a combative midfielder, but played in the reverse fullback roll for this game to meet the recording of Romeo Lavia.
He is in fact so good that he can play there, as well as every natural back that Chelsea has, with an impeccable working speed, great feet on the ball and also an eye for a pass.
His interest in this side cannot be underestimated, with the Ecuadorian always in the right place at the right time and able to appear before his side with a level of consistency linked by no other player in the team.
Nobody really brings out the price tag that Chelsea has paid for him, which is proof of how good he has become.
Trevoh Chalobah – 8
With rumors that swallow that Trevoh Chalobah can be expected to leave Chelsea forever this summer, if he wants to leave, the graduated Cobham can be held with his head High.
Trev played a crucial role in the structure of Jackson's opener, pressed Beto on the ball and won it just before the Senegalese forward -raged house.
Levi Colwill – 8
It is not an easy task that marks 6'4 “Beto in advance for Everton, which caused chaos for countless Premier League defenses this campaign, but Levi has really prepared him well.
The always present CB of Chelsea this season has really grown into a leading role in his recent versions, and today was no different.
It is easy to see in games such as today why the blues appreciate their academy in Centere half, so high.
Marc Cucurella – 8
In addition to Caicedo, Marc Cucurella was probably the most consistent performer in Chelsea this season.
The Stamford Bridge -believers were used to flew forward and sometimes played almost like a second striker, but today he was commissioned with a slightly different job and asked to be more defensive with Caicedo -repayment instead of him.
For me there has been no better left back in the competition this season, and today's performance repeated that sentiment – winning crucial tackles, stepped in to intercept when needed and also continue the ball.
Romeo Lavia – 7
When a midfielder of £ 115 million is moved to the right so that you can fit into the starting XI, it emphasizes how good a player you are.
Today, Romeo returned to the start XI for the ninth time this season and has been missed all the way on the Chelsea side since mid-March this season when he only played the USSal for eight minutes.
His death was somewhat rusty, that was expected from a player who has been out for so long, but on the half bend in midfield he really makes a difference to the side of Maresca and in most good things is vital that the team does.
If he can stay fit, I really believe that he can be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Enzo Fernandez – 7
Took his seventh assist of the season with a neat pass in Jackson on the edge of the box in what a well -completed version was of Chelsea's number eight.
It was quiet one of the most insured versions I have seen here since the arrival of Enzo here, because he showed quality on and out of the ball, as well as all the passion and leadership that the tribal guests on Stamford Bridge worship so much.
Noni Madueke – 6
Noni was preferred to the Jadon Sancho in-shape on the left wing today with Neto who earned a place on his pre-emptive right hand, given the nature of his winner against Fulham previous time-out.
His playing style is less suitable for the left side, as a wing player who makes a large amount of shots after cutting in on his left foot and has a great relationship with Cole Palmer who also prefers the right side of the attack.
Nevertheless, it was a cheated performance of him, and he had Nathan Patterterson with his fast feet for most of the first half – his defensive work did not go unnoticed because he often supported Cucurella in that sense.
Cole Palmer – 3
Palmer stole the show against Everton last season with four goals in Goodison Park, a performance he recently bought in an Instagram story that he designed 'pleasure'.
The ice -cold midfielder, however, has gone somewhat off the boil since the turn of the year, with many fans who conspire, he does not enjoy so much among the current manager.
Maresca claimed in the week that it was a mentality problem for Palmer, and not a tactical thing, and it seems clear to me.
The Chelsea star is faded to the point that he was almost transparent in today's game, which is simply painful to see when you know what he can be like when you can completely shoot.
Pedro Neto – 6
Neto gave Mykolenko a scorching time in the right flank, with an incredible amount of hard work again.
There was never a moment of magic as we saw in the last match against Fulham, and his end product on a consistent base still has to improve, but he still came in front of him.
Deserves enormous credit for his defensive efforts, because he made a number of vital tackles in clutch moments, especially when the game ended.
Nicolas Jackson – 8
That is exactly what Jackson can do.
So often in a Chelsea shirt we have seen him do everything from him as a striker, apart from placing the ball at the back of it when it is most needed.
His strike in the 26th minute from outside the box perfectly nestled in the left corner to give the blues the lead after a large touch on the half turn.
Apart from the goal, his hard work was greatly appreciated by home support, because he often fell deeply to collect the ball and even trace it back to make a last man's challenge on Beto in one phase in the second half.
Subs
Reece James (Op For Lavia, 67 minutes) – 6
Replacing Lavia, which was excellent in midfield, and the blues didn't look worse at all.
Probably more solid in terms of defense and air offered less in transition than Lavia, but that was probably exactly what he was needed considering the state of the game when he stood up.
Jadon Sancho (Op For Madueke, 78 minutes) – 5
Showed flashes of his fast feet and ability, but Chelsea usually saw the game from the time he was on the field.
I didn't see much of the ball, but did his defensive due diligence.
Tyrique George (on Jackson, 90 minutes) – 5
Was not enough time to influence the game.
Kiernan Dewsbury -hall (on Palmer, 90 minutes) – 5
Was not enough time to influence the game.
