The reason for Cole Palmer's bizarre jog by West-London after the 1-0 victory of Chelsea in Everton was revealed.
Palmer caused an internet storm on Saturday afternoon when he was filmed from the way of Stamford Bridge. At the age of 22, it was seen in a black hoodie and shorts, equipped with two mobile phones (one on his ear), with a guard on dragging fans out of the way.
Many remained confused as. He slipped his way through supporters to Fulham Road, with several supporters who tried to keep track of him.
Thanks to a user on social media, however, it has now been revealed that the attacker is on his way to collect a pair of Prada shoes.
A Tiktok account called 'Leonglssing' showed Palmer that it received expensive shoes after he made a long journey to deliver.
“I received a message late last night when I was in the middle,” he said in a video that also received attention on X. “Touchdown in London This morning everything had to figure out at the last minute.
'A bit of the game caught on TV. Listen, if you know how we do things here, we always deliver. Check out the pair and ensure that everything is good.
“He definitely touched fans who loved the game. Here he signs his match top for me, always super easy to deal with – and yes guys, as always, sorted! '
On the field it was again a difficult afternoon for Palmer, whose goal drought stretched to 17 games while. Nicolas Jackson took his first of the year, but viewers who stumbled the clip online were more obsessed with his off-field antics.
For the first time in his career, after a stunning first season in Chelsea, Palmer was examined after a dry patch for the goal.
He has still been a consistent presence in the Chelsea side and has contributed in other ways, including assists, such as Enzo Maresca's side pursues a place in Champions League.
Manager Maresca has insisted that Palmer's scoring malaise is a result of 'mental' factors instead of something 'technical' or 'tactical'.
“It's certainly mentally,” he said Friday. 'I don't think it's tactical, I don't think it's technical, because Cole is still the same player who scored with us this season – 14 goals in the Premier League in 20 games. Cole is the same.
'The style of football we play is the same. The manager is the same. The club is the same. So nothing changes around Cole and Cole does not change. It's just mentally at the moment.
'We always try to set up our game to place our best player in a condition to be dangerous. We have done it since we started. We do that every game.
'If you go back with the game per game, he had at least every game one or two chances. It's not about how the team plays. Again, it's the same. If you want to see it as the team that plays in a different way, you've seen it that way, but the reality is not that.
'The reality is that Cole is the same, the playing style is the same, the manager is the same, the club is the same. It's just football that he is missing the goal at the moment. No more than that. '
