Lamine Yamal is accused of not respecting the king of Span during the Copa del Rey parties of Barcelona after their chaotic victory over Real Madrid on Saturday evening.
The 17-year-old played 120 minutes before his side in the final in the Estadio de la Cartuja, with Madrid shown three red cards and Jude Bellingham held when Chaos followed.
Madrid, who had interrogated referee Ricardo de Burgos Bergoetxea after he had broken down in tears before the game, remained Livid with the last moments when Antonio Rudiger, Bellingham and Lucas Vazquez all received their marching orders.
The game had been 2-2 to enter extra time, and Joules Kunde yielded a 116th minute of the winner, which led to wild parties of the Barcelona-included Yamal players.
Barcelona has now defeated Madrid in all three Clasicos, including a 5-2 routes in the Spanish Super Cup final in January after winning 4-0 in Madrid in the competition in October.
Away from the chaos, however, Yamal was questioned for his antics, including greeted by the king of Spain – Felipe VI.
Images shared by ESPN showed that the Barcelona players were greeted by a number of officials when they gathered their medals and trophies, and Yamal had a whole look because he put on two pairs of sunglasses and a backward shirt.
He joined Pedri, Raphinha and Kounde to collect his medal, but eyebrows were raised when he arrived at the king, along the line of officials.
Instead of greeting the king by shaking his hand, Yamal chose to 'dap' King Felipe – a movement that means that someone with an informal gesture is greeted, often with hitting palms and hugs with a kind of hug.
The king is no stranger to Yamal, after he met the young person at a number of times and was previously shocked that he was so young and yet so successful – and the duo also met after the last victory of Spain 2024 in England.
However, the hug did not go well with a number of social media users, because they had not seen the funny side of things.
'A lack of respect', a fan posted on X. Another added: 'This boy is really lol.
A third wrote: “A Real Madrid player will be suspended for this.”
Yamal continued to take the same action, also with Barca President Joan Laporta, who reached out to hug the starman of his side on the back of their success.
