No Rangers player is safe from axe in summer rebuild, says goalkeeper Liam Kelly

Rangers -goalkeeper Liam Kelly admits that the ax is hanging over the entire team prior to what is expected to be a large summer space.

Kelly did not hold himself in the aftermath of Saturday's 2-2 draw at St Mirren-Sloeg with the 'empty words' who have defined another failure season.

After he had thrown his team away twice with a bad performance, Rangers -Interim -Baas Barry Ferguson was also unable to assess.

Ferguson admits that the Ibrox club has lost their 'anxiety factor' – and has made it clear that players are now playing for their future.

Kelly believes that nobody at the club can consider themselves safe prior to an enormous summer interrogation, ALS and when the American acquisition -deal is completed.

Asked if the wholesale changes offer hope for the future, he replied: 'I would not say hope. It's just reality, right? It's just what is needed.

'We have clearly not been good enough this season to win a trophy. We cannot have any complaints because we have not been good enough.

'We just have to deal with it, continue it, do our utmost to improve and definitely give us all in these last four games.

'If we fail due to technical errors, then fair enough. But the least we can do is give us everything to the supporters. '

Kelly did not chop his words when he was asked to think about the performance of Saturday and, broader, about the season as a whole.

“We were desperate to win the game,” said the Scotland Squad keeper, who has replaced Jack Butland in recent weeks with Rangers.

'Go ahead twice and then just sloppy. Give away two terrible goals. Not good enough collective enough, not good enough to deteriorate together.

'Listen, it is always the same, right? It is the same story again. So I'm not going to sit here and get bored.

“We were not good enough, we didn't deserve to win the game. Again, nowhere good enough for what our fans expect and the level needed for this club.

'Of course we can still hurt teams. We showed that in certain games. Even in large, large games we have shown, we can hurt teams.

“But it doesn't matter what I say. You have heard the same things all season. They are all empty words.

'It doesn't matter what you say, it just seems to happen every week. It doesn't matter how aggressive or how angry people get into the building or after games, it has to change.

“There must be enormous changes for us to improve as a team.”
