Carlos Prates’ Fighting Nerd teammates react to losing their undefeated UFC streak following UFC Kansas City

The Vechtnerds are no longer unbeaten in the UFC, which brings their impressive 19 combat streak to an end.

Last Saturday in UFC Kansas City Carlos Prates suffered his first loss in the UFC after Ian Machado Garry had closely agreed a unanimous decision victory in the main event.

Only a day away from his loss, Prates broke his silence with a post on social media and apologized to his fans for his performance.

A few days before their huge fight, prates was caught smoking cigarettes outside the UFC Fighter Hotel, and former UFC star Josh Thompson suggested that the smoking habits of Prates caused his loss.

Fighting Nerds respond to losing their undefeated UFC record

The welterweighter is part of the rising Fighting Nerds team, including Caio Borralho, Jean Silva and Mauricio Ruffy and to this point there was no blemish on one of their UFC records.

With the entire team unbeaten in the best promotion, they benefited from a lot of support from the fans, where almost all were emphasized as potential future UFC champions.

Unfortunately, the loss of 'The Nightmare on Saturday evening, however, put an end to the teams of incredible run, with them now 19-1 in the UFC.

What is the next step for Carlos Prates after the first UFC loss?

After missing the top 10 of the Welterweight Division, the Brazilian will return to the drawing board and find out who he will then fight.

The fight that seems to be the most logical after his loss is that his fight against Geoff Neal is being converted when Neal is able to return to the Octagon.

'Handz of Steel' is currently ranked at number 10 in the division, so it would still give the Brazilian chance to enter the top 10 if he could recover with a victory.
