La Masia is known as one of the best academies in world football, and that has where Barcelona has won, on Monday the UEFA Youth League won in a rather convincing way U19-side was far too good for Trabzonspor, with the game ending in a 4-1 win for the Catalans in Nyon.
Barcelona made a dream start to the procedure in Switzerland when they took the lead in the 11th minute, with the aim of the Malian younger Ibrahim Diarra, who came to the club in December. He also had a hand in the second, which was scored seven minutes later when Andres Cuenca scored up close after Diarra was refused by the Trabzonspor -goalkeeper after a corner.
And Diarra was again involved in the last two goals that Barcelona scored. He played in Captain Hugo Alba to bring the score to 3-0, before he scored number four to complete a beautiful afternoon in front of the Juliano Beletti side. The Turkish side found the back of the net in the 88th minute, but in the end it was just a comfort.
It has been a remarkable season for the U19s of Barcelona. They had already won their competition and the Copa del Rey Juvenil, and their success in the UEFA Youth League means that they have completed the Treble. The senior team will hope that they can follow in their footsteps, and they have already started their pursuit after beating Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday.
The success of the U19s of Barcelona will probably not go unnoticed in the club, and it would be no surprise to see that some players in the heart of their performances make the step to Barca Atletic for the 2025-26 campaign this season. Diarra's will will certainly like to make the leap to Hansi's First Team team afterwards.
