Luis Enrique makes Liverpool dig as he sends Arsenal warning ahead of PSG clash

Luis Enrique will lead PSG against Arsenal on Tuesday in the Champions League-Halve Final, with the Ligue 1 Giants who defeated Liverpool earlier this season in the last 16

Luis Enrique has wondered if the Premier League is the best in the world after he has promised to go for a third English scalp. Paris Saint Germain has already eliminated Liverpool and Aston Villa on their way to the semi -final of the Champions League.

They have now received Arsenal in their sights and PSG -Baas Enrique says that the French giants are determined to “rewrite history” by winning the trophy for the first time. But Enrique also delivered an excavation to Liverpool after he had eliminated the newly crowned English champions and says that the elimination of them and villa will only give his players confidence before he stood against Arsenal.

When asked if the beating of English teams will help, PSG Baas Enrique said: “Perhaps that is a question for Mr. Arteta. But in terms of trust it is very positive for us.

“We defeated Liverpool and they won the Premier League this year. But that means nothing because every game is different. Everyone talks about the Premier League as the best competition in the world.

“I don't know if I agree or not. But we are confident and look forward to playing in the semi -final. Is Arsenal the best team we encounter? One of the best teams, yes, without a doubt.

“They are second in the Premier League and that has been the case for the past three seasons. I don't know if it is the best team, but it is certainly one of the best teams.”

Enrique is great friends with Arsenal -Baas Mikel Arteta and the Gunners defeated PSG in the competition phase of the competition in October.

But ex-spain star Enrique says that PSG is now much better and that they have focused on writing history, just like Arsenal who has not won the Champions League.

Enrique said: “I would remind you that Arsenal did not win the Champions League before and only one of us will get the ticket to the final over the two legs and I hope that PSG will be.

“The game you're talking about took place on October 1, so that was seven or eight months since there are huge differences between occasionally.

“I rated the game and saw how far our game has come and we are better now. We are a more complete team. Our next goal is to rewrite history and there is only one way to do that.”
