Premier League title win is a ‘dream come true’ for Liverpool’s Mac Allister

Alexis Mac Allister said that helping Liverpool to the Premier League title a “Dream Come True” was after playing a leading role in their title-Klinching route against Tottenham Hotspur.

After he went behind to the 12th minute header of Dominic Solanke, Luis Diaz parity recovered in Anfield before Mac Allister's stunning finish started the party on Merseyside.

Cody Gakpo would increase the first half of Liverpool before Mohamed Salah and his own goal from Destiny Udogie sealed a 5-1 victory on a perfect day in front of Arne Slot.

Mac Allister signed for Liverpool in 2023 and was part of the rebuilding of midfield under Jurgen Klopp, with Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru endo who also join.

The Argentinian in particular has been a striking performer in the middle of the park for the Reds this campaign, with seven goals in 47 performances in all competitions.

In the Premier League in 2024-25, no player has won more tackles for Liverpool than Mac Allister (58), although the 26-year-old in the last third has been equally impressive.

He has created 43 chances for his teammates in the top flight, the fifth highest for the team of Slot, while he also has four assists in his 33 Premier League outings this period.

Against Spurs, Mac placed game-high Totals for tackles (four) and duels (eight) won, while only Gravenberch (eight) won the possession more times than Liverpool's number 10 (seven) on Sunday.

It has been a memorable past three years for Mac Allister, who has won the World Cup and Copa America with Argentina and has lifted his first great honor for the Reds in last season's EFL cup.

But after he had taken hold of his first Premier League trophy, Mac Allister went to Instagram to express how much it meant to help Liverpool to let glory again glory.

“I never forget where I come from. From a family who taught me the value of hard work, of dreams born with an Irish surname and a real Argentinian heart,” said Mac Allister.

“And today, from Liverpool, it writes an unforgettable chapter.

“When I came to this club, I knew it was a special place. But what I experienced this year went beyond everything I had ever suggested.

“Every training session, every match, every time I got on the field on Anfield … I felt the weight of this shirt and the passion of a unique fan base.

“It took hard work, dedication and gave everything at any time. Because wearing this shirt is not for everyone … and because I have dreamed of this since I was a boy.

“Lifting the Premier League trophy with Liverpool is the dream come true. One that started many years ago and becomes the reality today.

'Thanks to my family, who was always there. Thank you to the club for believing in me. Thanks to football that you gave me so much.

“And thanks to all of you, for making it forever. This is Liverpool. This is what it means to be champions.”
