Dustin Poirier Back Paddy Pimblett Titellading

Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler have ended together for years.

Nevertheless, 'The Diamond' publicly supported his rival to go to Pimblett for UFC 314.

“Although he is AB —, Chandler goes hard on the money all day,” Poirier fans said on social media.

After the fight, he gave the Englishman props to prove that he is one of the best light weights in MMA.

Now Poirier has supported Pimblett to become a world champion, provided he does the work.

“Of course,” he replied that Ariel Helwani asked if he was surprised by Pimblett's victory over UFC 314.

“I really thought Chandler would beat him, but I was wrong. Paddy is legitimate.”

Poirier added: “Yes. If he believes, works hard enough and keeps doing what he does, he can be his [champion]. “

What is the next step for Paddy Pimblett?

Pimblett is currently enjoying a family holiday and celebrates his favorite football team, Liverpool, winning the Premier League.

The 30-year-old will return home soon and train again for a lightweight title eliminator.

“I just want to fight,” Pimblett told Bruce Buffer after his recent victory.

“Whoever is that one person who gets a title shot, I want that fight.

“My plan was before the fight was to fight in Abu Dhabi in October.

“I've always wanted to fight there. The UFC always does a pay-per-view there in October.

“I just think it would be the perfect time to come back. Charge my batteries in the summer, keep training every day, keep the weight low and then go back to the camp in August or September.”
