UFC legend ‘The Rock’ will play earned ‘The Smashing Machine’ nickname with incredible run of first-round finishes

UFC legend Mark Kerr earned his nickname after he had destroyed various opponents in the first round, known as 'The Smashing Machine'.

In October 'The Smashing Machine' film will be on the scenes such as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays UFC legend Mark Kerr in the A24 Distributed Optic.

The Rock recently revealed that the most important reason behind why he wanted to play Kerr in a Hollywood film, was because of how much challenge it will be to make it a big blockbuster, like other films in which he played.

Before he participated in the UFC and pride, Kerr was an extremely accomplished wrestler and grappler, and before he made his switch to MMA and the UFC, Kerr Olympic golden medal winner Kurt Angle beat an Angle.

Mark Kerr earned 'the smashing machine' nickname with frightening finishes

In addition to beating Randy Couture during his days as a collegial wrestler, Kerr then decided to make the transition to MMA after an extremely successful wrestling career.

Teammates with Mark Coleman, Kerr took the opportunity to participate in Brazil in the World Vale Tudo championship and later made his MMA debut against UFC veteran, Paul Varelans.

Kerr showed exactly why there was so much expectation around his move to MMA after he scored a KO victory in the first round, a huge Takedown and subsequent ground and pound landed.

In his next fight, the wrestler Mestre Hulk defeated so badly that Hulk was disqualified after he crawled out of the ring after losing two teeth to Kerr's mean ground and pound. Kerr then won the tournament championship in his next fight.

He then had the opportunity to fight at UFC 14 in the heavyweight tournament in 1997. In his UFC debut, Kerr fought against Moti Horstein and hit him within the first few minutes of the fight.

He started fighting on the same evening Dan Bobish, and then finished him with a bizarre unique chin as an eye breach, again in the first round and won the tournament championship.

Kerr continued his impressive run on UFC 15

Later that year, Kerr was invited to the UFC to participate in UFC 15 in another heavyweight tournament.

In his first fight against Greg Stott, Kerr continued to show his terrifying force when he slammed Stott in just 17 seconds after landing a huge knee.

Not long afterwards, Kerr again benefited from his wrestling and gripping advantage, in which Dwayne Cason was submitted in one minute of the final of the tournament and earned his nickname 'The Smashing Machine', which had not gone from the first round in seven fights.

'The Smashing Machine' then took his talents proud because they could offer him a higher wage than the UFC, where he kept impressing with four more finishes.
