Cory Sandhagen wants to channel his inner Mike Tyson next Saturday, and that is extended to his preparation for the fight.
With the UFC that wants to get back on the road more often, this Saturday, the promotion in Iowa for UFC des Moines lands with a main event between DEIVESON Figueiredo and Cory Sandhagen.
'Sandman' Sandhagen wants to return from a disappointing loss for Umar Nurmagomedov last August by giving Figueiredo his second loss in a row.
The old Bantamweight candidate has been a favorite among fans for a while because of his extremely exciting fighting style, and scored some blockbuster underdog victories.

Sandhagen to copy Mike Tyson Pre-Fight Ritual prior to UFC des Moines
Prior to another big fight in the division, Sandhagen fans cracked with his pre-Vecht antics, who recently shared a skit from him with chatgpt to come up with garbage.
However, one pre-Fight allowance from Sandhagen has caused some concern under the fan base, because he recently revealed that he will consume a load of mushrooms for his UFC des Moines fight.
One of the most dreaded men ever, Mike Tyson, became famous for the proponent of psychedelic mushrooms prior to his fighting, and for his controversial fight against Jake Paul last year Tyson admitted that he would be high on mushrooms during the fight.
“I usually do a pretty heavy dose about two weeks before the fight, not as crazy, I'm not going to do a hero dose or something, but yes,” Sandhagen said in a recent video on his YouTube channel.
“So yes, I usually do a pretty heavy dose of mushrooms a few weeks before I fight … I just like to explore the subconscious parts of my mind and just expand everything, it just makes me a more whole person. This is just a part of my rituals, and it works for me,” Sandhagen continued.
Israel Adesanya experimented with psychedelics before Alex Pereira Rematch
Although Sandhagen's admission relates to various fans who have questioned its safety so close to a fight, there are case studies that it worked for hunters.
After Israel Adesanya had demanded revenge on Alex Pereira with a crushing knockout on UFC 287, he recently revealed that he was experimenting with psychedelics prior to the fight, so that he was really 'in' in the task that held before him.
If 'Sandman' Sandhagen can score a victory over the former UFC Flyweight Champion this Saturday, he could place himself in the title on 135 pounds.
