‘I just worry’ – Paul Scholes reveals concern over Man Utd signing Matheus Cunha for two reasons

Paul Scholes has admitted that he is worried about Manchester United who signed Matheus Cunha.

Reports suggest that the Red Devils are close to an agreement with the Wolves star before he sets his £ 62.5 million release clause.

Cunha, 25, has impressed this period of 15 goals and registering six assists in the Premier League.

But Man Utd Legend Scholes has doubts about where the versatile attacker will fit and whether it is even a wise move for the player himself.

He wrote in his TNT sports column: “He looks like he has the attributes that Ruben Amorim wants. He knows that his team is physically not strong or fast enough.

“I just worry about every signature that is currently coming to Manchester United. It just feels like it's such a bad place to go. The quality of playing is now so bad.

“And with Cunha, is he a center-forward or is he a broad player?

“There is no doubt that he has quality and of course it would be nice to sign it, but I am worried about where it fits.

“You can sign the best three players in the world, and I think they are struggling in this team right now, but they have to start somewhere.”

Amorim has been worried about top players who did not want to move to Old Trafford last week and say: “What I think is that there are many players who want to play for our club.

“I know that if you watch our club at the moment, with all the problems with the staff and the people who go, coach and the results change, it seems a bit of a problem.

“But we have a clear idea. That is the easiest part to explain to a player.

“Then it's Manchester United. Everyone wants to play for Manchester United.”
