Jamie Carragher revealed why he was absent in the title celebrations of Liverpool.
On Sunday, the side of Arne Slot Tottenham beat 5-1 to guarantee a historic 20th league title – with players and the staff who suck the opportunity on the field.
A number of former Liverpool stars were present in Anfield to celebrate the performance -but former Reds -defender Carragher was not one of them.
Carragher, 47, would usually be on Sky Sports commentary for such a competition, alongside Gary Neville, but on Sunday only the former man United Defender was there.
Now Carragher has explained why he was not in the stadium and revealed where he was instead.
Carragher said on Tuesday evening on the Champions League show of CBS Sports: 'I was in London for the marathon'.
The wife of Carragher Nicola had participated on Sunday morning in the Marathon in London and it was clear that the former Reds star chose to cheer for support.
Carragher went to Instagram on Monday and shared a photo of his wife with the caption: 'Wonder Woman @nicolacarragher has finished her marathon challenge of the six @wmmajors in seven months!
'Very proud husband, can't even start knowing how her body should feel today, but she will get herself in shape in August for the next in Sydney.
“Well done my little pocket rocket.”
Nicola joined an abundance of famous faces – including former Chelsea captain John Terry – after participating in the Marathon in London.
Former Blue Terry, however, suffered from every runner's nightmare while bleeding from his right nipple in the final phase of the London Marathon.
Terry could be seen around 21 miles with a painful expression on his face as a stream of what seemed to be blood on his white t-shirt. The 44-year-old also seemed to be limping.
He ran to raise money for the charity rays of sunshine, which helps children and young people to live in the UK with a life -threatening or life -restricting disease.
A world record of 56,000 runners were expected to participate in the 26.2 miles race that started in Greenwich Park, Snaked along the River Theems before they ended up in the shopping center. It was expected that the temperatures in the capital would rise to 20 degrees Celsius.
In addition to the former captain of England, former Chelsea was assistant manager Jody Morris.
The couple was noticed by many on social media after they were seen through the cameras in the route earlier.
