Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold seems to be adding Real Madrid at the end of his contract with the Spanish giants, but has received some advice from a Manchester United icon before he does that
Paul Scholes has revealed the only reason why Trent Alexander -Arnold Liverpool will leave for Real Madrid – trophies. The graduated Reds Academy is strongly connected this summer with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He is in just over a month without a contract, with reports that suggest that Real Madrid is very enthusiastic about him that pen on paper on a switch to Spain. As it looks now, nothing has been announced, although Alexander-Arnold is very likely to be a real player.
Former Manchester United -star Scholes believes that he offers his view of the potential movement of the defender and believes that there will only be one decisive factor: the possibility for consistent trophies in Madrid.
He wrote in a column for TNT -Sport: “It will be a difficult decision for him. If you are a local boy, it is very difficult to leave your club, especially if you have just won the Premier League.
“He is with a big club in Liverpool and if you are not in a big club, it is easy to take that step to Real Madrid. The thing he has to keep in mind is where he wins trophies in the coming years.
“I suppose Real Madrid had a bit of a malaise, but their malaise does not seem to last that long. There is certainly more competition in England with Liverpool. In an attempt to win the Premier League and Champions League, you will compete with Man City, Arsenal and even Chelsea, so it is more difficult to win.
“Liverpool resembles a team that can win the next five or six years and win the competition? I don't think so and I can be proven perhaps, but when City won the competition, you thought they will win again.
“But with Liverpool, you're just not entirely sure and football is all about winning trophies. So for Trent he thinks he will win the most trophies, and you would probably prefer Real Madrid, purely because of their history in the Champions League and not that much competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition in the competition, Competition in the competition, apart from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. “
