Wayne Rooney takes aim at ‘subdued’ Arsenal fans for PSG defeat as Thierry Henry fires his old side a warning

Wayne Rooney has hit Arsenal on and in addition to the loss of Tuesday, both on the field against the loss of Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners fell on a 1-0 defeat against the French giants in the first stage of their semi-final of the Champions League.

Arsenal -Baas Mikel Arteta had published a rally call for a deafening atmosphere in North Londs.

But an early goal from Ousmane Dembele silence the crowd, with the players who could not find a level.

The game was the first semifinal of Arsenal in the competition since 2009.

But Rooney – who appeared in three Champions League finals – did not believe that the atmosphere made the opportunity to make the opportunity.

The English legend worked as an analyst for Amazon Prime: “For Arsenal I was a bit disappointed about how they played.

“[I was] Also disappointed about the fans.

“The fans against Real Madrid really pushed the team. I thought they were a bit subdued tonight.

“The players need help, I thought the fans against Madrid were absolutely fantastic.

“The best I've ever heard of the Emirates.

“I thought they didn't give them the same energy tonight.

“In big competitions, in a huge semi -final of the Champions League, maybe that may be the difference. So maybe they should give a little more.

“Arsenal fans have experienced a lot that I know.

“But maybe if they brought the same energy they bought against Real Madrid, the players may have canceled by five percent.”

Rooney also chose the midfield of Arsenal during the break and focused on Declan Rice, Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard.

Thomas Partey missed the suspension for the Gunners, with Rice fell back to take his place as NO6.

Rooney said: “The midfield three for Arsenal are everywhere.

“They try to press the ball on every occasion and they leave huge holes behind, as you can see for the first goal.

“They leave big holes and PSG will punish them.”

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry treated the game for CBS Sports.

And he did not die in explaining PSG was the better team from the first minute.

Henry said: “PSG was a lot of superior in this game for me.

“A lot has to be changed for Arsenal to ensure that they can beat PSG. It will be a different ball game.

“There is still a tie, you never know what will happen.”
