Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly rejected the opportunity to manage the Brazilian national team.
The Italian manager will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and is strongly connected to the management of the five -time world cup winners.
According to Marca, Ancelotti traveled to London on Monday and is expected to sign his Brazilian contract in the English capital.
He did not put a pen on paper, but was still supposed to formalize his move to international football when he returned to Spain on Tuesday.
However, he has now chosen to reject the proposal of Brazil and contacted the president of the Brazilian federation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, to inform him about his decision.
The report from Marca claims that Ancelotti's U-turn came after the uncertainty emerged when he could possibly start his role in Brazil.
Brazil believed that he could really leave in June, but Ancelotti is supposed to have told the federation that he would only take his position in August.
Apart from a big change in heart, Ancelotti is not now becoming the next manager of Brazil and can still really lead in this summer Club's World Cup.
Ancelotti is still ready to leave the Spanish giants prior to the following season, and is supposed to consider a huge offer to manage in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi contract is said to earn Ancelotti a net of € 50 million (£ 42 million), which can be difficult for him to reject.
In the meantime, Brazil now has to look for alternative options after he has not convinced Ancelotti to become their new manager.
Brazil has been looking for their next head coach after firing Dorival Junior after their humiliating 4-1 defeat by Argentina last month.
The national team is back in action at the beginning of June when they are confronted with Ecuador and Paraguay in qualifications of the World Cup.
They will probably want a new coach for these games, with the side that can still be done to book their place at next year's World Cup.
Brazil is currently fourth in the South American World Cup classification, with the top six teams that continue to the tournament in the US, Mexico and Canada, while seventh place deserves a play-off place.
