Real Madrid is unhappy with the timing and financial arrangements of the exit of Carlo Ancelotti from the club, which took over his reported move as a coach of the Brazilian national team in Jeopardy.
On Monday there was optimism of the Brazilian Federation (CBF) that a deal to hire Ancelotti as a coach progressed on time to supervise a few world cup qualifications in June.
But sources said on Tuesday that Madrid wanted Ancelotti, whose contract runs until June 2026, to concentrate on the rest of the LaLiga season and would coach the team during this summer's club.
Madrid is also not willing to pay the rest of Ancelotti's contract, leaving a movement that seemed to approach an impasse on Monday.
Representatives of CBF try to negotiate a resolution in Madrid and avoid avoiding unnecessary pressure on Ancelotti to honor a verbal agreement that was concluded, added sources.
Although Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in the history of Madrid – winning three Champions competitions and two Laliga titles during two spells in the Santiago Bernabéu – the current season has been a disappointment. Madrid lost Van Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and by Barcelona in the Copa del Rey Final Saturday. They are four points behind the Catalans in Laliga with five games to play.
Brazil has been without a coach since March, when the Dorival Junior fired after a humiliating loss for Conmebol Rivals Argentina in a qualification.
The five -fold world cup champions, which are fourth in the qualifying table, will play Ecuador on 4 June on 4 June and Paraguay on June 9. If Ancelotti continues on time through Madrid for those Brazilian competitions, they must find a new coach or designate an interim to appoint an interim to follow up this summer in the club of the summer.
If Brazil cannot close a deal with Ancelotti, sources said the CBF would consider conversations with all Hilal coach Jorge Jesus to have someone for the next team announcement on 26 May.
