Swansea City has appointed Alan Sheehan as their head coach permanently after his successful spell as a caretaker.
He has now signed a three -year -old deal with Swansea and took on his first permanent management role.
Luke Williams left Swansea in February, where the club looked over their shoulders at the relegation zone of the championship, but Sheehan has impressed since taking over.
The swans are now 11th in the table at 60 points, 12 free from Hull City in the 22nd, and are guaranteed a top half finish with only one match about this season.
Sheehan was initially only given the leadership for five games, but agreed in March to supervise the campaign until the end of the season.

“It is a privilege to be in this football club, and now I have the honor of officially being the head coach,” Sheehan told the official website of the club.
“It is somewhat surreal. There has been a very good feeling in the area and I have talked about building something in recent months.
“I have been talking to the property for a while now and I have not really changed what I say about moving forward. This is really a good time to move forward.”
Sheehan has supervised 12 games, won seven and lost only three (D2), on average 1.92 points per match during his leadership.
Williams, for comparison, on average 1.12 during his 33 games at the helm and won only 10 of them (D7 L16).
