Georges St-Pierre was booed to hospital by Toronto crowd following UFC 129 performance

UFC boss Dana White feared that the fans would engage Georges St-Pierre after his UFC 129 victory on Jake Shields.

After such a dominant run as UFC Welterweight Champion, including victories on BJ Penn, Matt Hughes and Matt Serra, Georges St-Pierre was linked to controversial welterweight, Jake Shields on UFC 129 on April 30, 2011.

After having won his earlier three fights through decision, St-Pierre hoped to set up a show for the fans of Toronto, where this was the first event of the UFC in 'The 6ix'.

Dana White feared ST-Pierre-Beroslag after UFC 129 performance

Although he was generally considered one of the pound-for-pound at that time, 'Rush' St-Pierre started to get a little criticism from the fan base due to his lack of finish fights.

When he got into the fight, the only chance of Shields to win was his struggle and whether he could get St-Pierre to the floor and control him there.

In the first round, however, Shields was refused in all his Takedown attempts when GSP began to present his elite striking arsenal, which encountered Schilden on every occasion.

Again, in the second round the Canadian dominated the most striking exchanges, with shields catching with a few enormous over -hand rights.

However, the next few rounds went extremely in the same way, in the fourth round GSP was caught with a blow causing damage to his eye, which then led him to be sent to the hospital after the fight.

Although they won through a unanimous decision, Shields landed the champion over the five rounds and part of the live crowd in the Rogers Center, Boud St-Pierre's performance.

After the fight, UFC boss Dana White admitted his fear that the crowd can continue to use St-Pierre if he didn't score.

“Georges St-Pierre knew what he was against tonight and prepared and trained hard. I wish there was fireworks and these two were in the middle of the cage that shoot each other, yes, it does not always play that way,” White said in the press conference after the fight.

“I know that Georges will be the one who catches all these things that he has not ended up another fight,” he continued.

The current UFC champion is compared to St-Pierre by opponent

On May 10, the UFC returns to Canada for another PPV event, with the head by Belal Muhammad and Jack della Maddalena.

Prior to their collision, Della Maddalena compared the 'boring' style of Muhammad with that of St-Pierre, claiming that the fighting wins, but fans do not enjoy looking at it.

St-Pierre will be present at UFC 315 and has labeled Muhammad 'The complete package' despite constant criticism.
