Jake Paul pokes fun at UFC after Netflix reveals astronomical viewing figures for Mike Tyson showdown
Jake Paul has claimed that his controversial clash with Mike Tyson achieved a higher gate than any UFC event in history.
The social media star clashed with the former world heavyweight champion at AT&T Stadium, Texas, last Friday, scoring a big unanimous victory.
However, Mike Tyson proved to be a shadow of his former self, with the 58-year-old struggling to sustain every attack on his vastly unproven opponent.
Yet Jake Paul is largely criticized for his lackluster performance, despite insisting he took his foot off the accelerator to spare Tyson from further damage.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson hit the biggest boxing gate of all time outside of Las Vegas
Shortly after his win over Tyson, Paul went even further to justify his poor performance by claiming that he suffered an injury just two weeks before their fight.
And yet it has to be said that 'The Problem Child' was still better prepared than 'Iron Mike', who was left fighting for his life after suffering a flare-up of a stomach ulcer in June.
But only now has the boxing legend revealed the severity of his situation, leaving the vast majority of fans wondering why the event still went ahead.
Sure enough, their questions have apparently all been answered by Netflix, with the streaming platform citing their viewing figures in a recent press release.
Not only did the heavyweight upset – which lasted eight two-minute rounds – reach 60 million homes around the world, but it also recorded the biggest boxing gate of all time outside Las Vegas.
In fact, ticket sales revenue for Paul vs. Tyson – who reportedly totaled more than $18 million – double the gate Canelo Alvarez generated in his 2021 Texas showdown with Billy Joe Saunders.

Jake Paul claims he has reached a bigger gate than any UFC event in history
Paul has often made mocking comments about UFC boss Dana White, who put on a record-breaking spectacle at the Sphere, Las Vegas, in September.
But the former Disney star has now suggested his fight against Tyson had a higher purpose than UFC 306, which reportedly reached almost $22 million in ticket sales alone.
“Crazy that we did a bigger gate than any UFC event [in] history [and] that company is [30-plus] years old,” said Paul on X.
