Marco Silva believes that it “best is not yet to come” for Fulham while they try to end the Premier League season in a high, starting with a trip to Aston Villa.
Fulham is still looking for a European place and is in eighth place with 51 points, with a small advantage compared to Brighton and Bournemouth in the race for the Europa Conference League.
After losing back-to-back matches against Bournemouth and Chelsea, Fulham saved a late comeback against Soil Southampton for the last time, with Ryan Sessegnon scored a stop time winner in their 2-1 victory.
After also reaching the FA Cup quarte finals this season, Silva thought about how well Fulham did, but remarked his ambition to continue pushing the club.
“I am very, very ambitious,” he told the Fulham Fix podcast. “I am never satisfied.
“If you get good results or [reach] The last phases of competitions, my way of thinking is to look for more. It's the way in football, it's my way.
“The good performance, the big wins, it leaves a taste at the end of the game, but afterwards we are immediately ready to go.
“After almost four seasons we have achieved all these great things, but the best things will come.”

In the meantime, Villa is still insisting on conquering a Champions League place this period, which is currently seventh on 57 points, only three from Chelsea with the fifth placed.
Their five-match winning run in the Premier League was ended by their 2-1 defeat against Manchester City, a result that they followed with a 3-0 loss for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Unai Emery expressed his frustration with that result, but insisted that Villa was ready for the fight in the last four games of the season.

Of all players to play at least 400 minutes this season in the Premier League, only Mohamed Salah (one every 66 minutes) is a goal or more often than Sessegnon (69 – four goals and two assists in 414 minutes).

Aston Villa has won six of their last seven Premier League matches against Fulham (including the last four in a row), with the exception of a 3-0 way defeat in October 2022.
Fulham has only won one of their last 20 out of the league matches against Villa (D7 L12) and has lost the last five in a row since a 2-1 victory in April 2014.
And Villa are in strong form at home. They are unbeaten in their last 16 of such competitions in the top flight (W9 D7), since they losing Arsenal in their opening match in Villa Park this period.
However, their 2-1 defeat against Manchester City previous time-out ended a five-game winning run in the Premier League. In the past two seasons, they have only lost consecutive league matches and do this against Liverpool and Tottenham in November.
None of Fulham's last 14 Premier League matches has been drawn (W7 L7), while their last two victories against the League leaders (3-2 V Liverpool) and the bottom (2-1 v Southampton) came.
