Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti and Brazil seemed to be the perfect triangle of convenience until this week, when the negotiations reportedly hit the rocks between the Italian and the Selecao. But from the Spanish capital, however, the word is that Ancelotti can move to the Brazilian national team.
With Ancelotti entirely except in real Madrid, and Brazil desperately to bring in Ancelotti, it seemed a foregone conclusion that the deal would be done this month. On Tuesday, however, news emerged that the negotiations had been demolished, with various versions that appear between Los Blancos, Ancelotti and Brazil.
However, that news has been refused for the past 24 hours and Marca says that Los Blancos will not stand in the way of Ancelotti if he wants to leave for Brazil. They explain that Ancelotti would not sign a deal with Brazil while he had a dedication with Real Madrid, and that his relationship and understanding of the case with President Florentino Perez remain intact.
First and foremost, Ancelotti will focus his efforts to win La Liga. Then Perez and Ancelotti will discuss things and then in all likelihood will go their own way. However, the end of Ancelotti's spell will be good, and if that is indeed the case, Ancelotti will be free to leave and join Brazil for the June South American World Cup qualifications against Ecuador and Paraguay.
It certainly leaves Ancelotti a difficult task to motivate a group of players who had been frustrated for some time, with little authority, knowing that he probably only has a few weeks in the role. It also means that the director of Football Santiago Solari would be obliged to take over for the club World Cup in the meantime, because Xabi Alonso, according to all the reports of Ancelotti, does not want to enter in advance.
