Arsenal’s three-man transfer wishlist as Watkins and Rashford truth emerges

Arsenal will sign a striker in the summer transfer window, with Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres in their view

Mikel Arteta will be confronted with a large rippling dilemma this summer. Everyone knows that Arsenal is on the market for a large center forward and getting the right thing about the line is the new sports director Andrea Berta No1 Priority.

Gunners -Baas Arteta loves Newcastle's Alexander Isak, the existing scouts have put so much work to look at RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Berta clearly assesses the sporty Lisbon star Viktor Gyokores. Isak is probably not for sale at any price, Sesko was the red -hot favorite last summer and is on the agenda, while Gyokees cannot stop scoring, but is five years older than Sesko.

That is the dynamics behind the scenes and you must be convinced that one of them will rock on the Emirates this summer – and there is also an interesting subplot from January.

Arsenal claims that they were offered Ollie Watkins in the last week of the window when Aston Villa was confronted with the prospect of balancing the books to meet profit and sustainability rules. Villa eventually sold Jhon Duran instead and was able to conclude a loan agreement for Marcus Rashford and, intriguing, Arteta is a long -term admirer of the Manchester United attacker.

It is hard to imagine that if Arsenal had not recorded their two loan spots, they would not have asked for Rashford at least because he has pace, goals and quality. Watkins has even admitted that it has difficult to deal with the entire soap opera opera in Villa Park and, despite continuing to score goals, lost his automatic starting place.

It is still to be seen whether Villa might be open to the sale of Watkins, but it is difficult to imagine that Arsenal goes back for him because he is 29, there is no sale value and the chance may have disappeared. However, Arteta really bought the opportunity to close a deal about Watkins in January and was sold considerably that he was willing to wait at the expense of other transfers.

Villa held up after he allowed Duran to go to Saudi and then did a deal for Rashford until the end of the season. Rashford wants to become permanently members of a club this summer and want to go to play Champions League football, but again, that now seems unlikely that it is arsenal.

Arsenal wants a center forward instead of a wide forward with Isak, Sesko and Gyokees that fit the bill. It could be said that they need two attackers, but the problem with that is that Kai Havertz will soon be fit again after hamstring operation and they also still have Gabriel Jesus in the books and he is one of the biggest earners in the club.

Havertz could go back to midfield next season with the arrival of a new NO9, but Jesus is confronted with a much longer dismissal and his wages will limit Arsenal in terms of signing another forward.

They already have Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in their sights in midfield – and believe that it is a foregone conclusion – but still need a new NO2 keeper and a left wing player as priorities, with Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams their dream ticket.

Did you say! Who should sign Arsenal this summer? Respond below.

That will be a lot of expenses and they will also have to get a number of players out with Jorginho to return to Brazil, Thomas Partey has no contract and Oleksandr Zinchenko can be a few names to leave. There is Saudi interest in Leandro Trossard.

But although they have serious money to spend, they also have to sell, which means that it is rather one forward signature instead of two – and that can exclude a movement for Watkins or Rashford.
