According to head coach Thomas Frank, it will take away a considerable offer for Pryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
But the Dane knows that the Cameroon International will probably be interesting for many Premier League clubs.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle United belong to the parties that are linked to Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old has so far scored 18 competition goals in 2024-25, ranked behind only Erling Haaland (21), Alexander Isak (22) and Mohamed Salah (28).
He also performs enormously better than his 10.56 expected goals, which means that he has scored about seven more goals than would be expected from the quality of the opportunities he had.
Add to these six competition assists, and only Isak (28) and Salah (46) have so far registered more target contributions than Mbeumo (24).

In anticipation of Brentford's collision with Nottingham Forest, Frank told Sky Sports: “I am the head coach, I want my best players to stay forever. I know that Bryan is very happy to be here at Brentford, he blooms, does it well and plays fantastic. What happens in the future? I don't know.
Losing Mbeumo, who came to the Club from the French side Troyes in 2019, would split the Razor-SHARP Strike Partnership that he formed with Yoane Wissa, who himself scored 16 league goals this season. Both players have 11 league goals at home in 24-25, the joint most because of a bee player since Ivan Toney in 2022-23.
“Of course, if the right price – and that will be expensive – is coming, then I am sure that the club will be open for it. But I am very happy that it is here and I am convinced that Bryan will still like to play football here,” Frank added.
The club sold Toney to the Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli last summer, after he had previously sold Ollie Watkins to Aston Villa for £ 34 million in 2020, the season before they were promoted to the Premier League.
But now, after they have consolidated their top status, it will undoubtedly take a much larger figure to force Brentford to renounce Mbeumo.
