Alex Scott claims that Bournemouth can seal the European qualification, despite the race for the eighth place that tilts against them last week, with a trip to Arsenal next time.
Bournemouth would come back to the eighth in the table what could be sufficient for the qualification of the conference they led Manchester United with 1-0 on Sunday.
The red card from Evanilson, which was later withdrawn on appeal, turned the match against the cherries and Rasmus Hojlund equalized for United in the 96th minute.
That 1-1 draw came after Fulham and Brighton-de most important rivals of Bournemouth for the European qualifying winning profit insured in the 90th minute on Saturday, against Southampton and West Ham respectively.
Bournemouth also has a difficult run-in, opposite Aston Villa and Manchester City after their journey to the Emirates Stadium and then closed the season against Leicester City.
“Just like that it changes. Brighton and Fulham both score in the 90th minute and that fed us on Sunday, I think,” Scott told BBC Radio Solent.
“We knew we had to get three points. Of course we did not succeed in doing that, so it's the lips, but we have enough in us.
“We know that we can compete with the top teams in this competition. We have Aston Villa, Man City and Arsenal at the arrival.
“We have already defeated Man City and Arsenal this season, so we know we can do it. It is clear that they are tough, hard luminaires, but it is on us.
“We have to give everything, try to dig away and get those last results to really push us over the edge and get the European place.”
Evanilson will be available for Saturday's game, which was previously dedicated to a ban of three games. Repeats showed that he slipped his challenge on Noussair Mazraoui.
Bournemouth will be confronted with an Arsenal side that may have one eye on the second stage of their Champions League quart final draw against Paris Saint-Germain, who won the first stage 1-0 in the Emirates on Tuesday.
Asked about what the side of Mikel Arteta could take from that defeat, midfielder Mikel Merino said: “I think we will learn that we can dominate every team everywhere.
“We have proven that we can play against everyone and be the main team on the field. It showed us that we are really able to perform everywhere.”
Players to watch
Arsenal – Leandro Trossard
Trossard scored four goals in his last four Premier League matches, just as much as he had in his previous 31. Three of these four strikes have made Arsenal ahead in the match.
It remains unclear what kind of team Arteta will select on Saturday, but the energetic Trossard will probably get a chance in attack.
Bournemouth – Antoine Semenyo
Only Liverpool -star Mohamed Salah (120) has had more shots this season than Bournemouth's Semenyo (118) in the Premier League.
Semenyo, however, has the fifth lowest conversion rate of a player to try this period 50 or more shots (7.6%).
Match forecast – Arsenal Win
Each of the three Premier League defeats of Arsenal this season came to teams that start the day in the bottom half of the table, with the Gunners unbeaten in their last 18 against sides in the top 10 (W10 D8).
Bournemouth will enter the Saturday campaign in the table, which could be a good omen for the hosts.
Although they are unbeaten in four (W1 D3), Bournemouth has won only one of their last nine Premier League matches (D4 L4). This run fell from the 5th to 10th in the table.
And although Arsenal may have one eye on the second stage of their Champions League quarter final draw, they recently did well of the European competitions.
Arsenal has only lost one of their last 35 Premier League matches in the weekend immediately after a Midweek European match (W24 D10), who dropped 2-0 to Aston Villa in April last year.
