Fans remained stunned after Harry Maguire showed his dribbling skills in the Europa League collision of Manchester United with Athletic Bilbao.
After a tense first half hour to the first stage of the semi -final tie, Maguire burst forward from the middle behind and was on the right wing.
Instead of cutting back and taking the easy passing option, Twsisted Maguire and turned to get past his husband before he was produced an excellent cross than was contracted by Manuel Ugarte and went home by Casemiro.
He may not have received the assist, but there was no doubt that it was Maguire's moment of magic that created the goal, and fans went to social media to greet the contribution of the English defender.
“Harry Maguire or Lamine Yamal?!” A fan asked a joke after the 17-year-old Wonderkid in Barcelona in their 3-3 draw with Inter Milan on Wednesday.
“My center back, my center forward, my winger: Harry Maguire!” Another X user added.
While Yamal is advertised as a future balloon d'Or winner, Maguire was also compared to someone who has previously won that prize.
“Harry Maguire moves on the wing like Ronaldinho,” they claimed.
Goals are hard to find for United this season, in which Ruben Amorim is unable to get the best out of his attacking players.
Creating opportunities has been a big problem and a fan even claimed that Maguire had shown the way forward for the first choice of wing players from United.
“Maguire showed a better wingplay than Garnacho throughout the season,” the fan posted on X.

Maguire scored the decisive goal in the dramatic quarterfinals of United against Lyon, and his wing game inspired the Red Devils to continue and dominate the rest of the first half.
United doubled their lead thanks to a penalty from Bruno Fernandes, with athletic defender Vivian sent away for the withdrawal of Rasmus Hojlund.
Fernandes then put United 3-0 on the rest of the break after swallowing Ugarte's flickered through the ball.
