Ten Hag in advanced talks to replace Real Madrid-bound Alonso as Leverkusen boss

Erik ten Hag is in advanced conversations to replace Xabi Alonso as Bayer Leverkusen Manager, according to reports.

Ten Hag, who was without work since he was fired as Manchester United boss in October, is reportedly drawn up to replace Real Madrid-bound Alonso.

German Outlet Kicker report that Ten Hag has already been put in line to replace Alonso, which seems to be in replacing Carlo Ancelotti in Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is linked to a switch to international management with a deal that is reportedly agreed with the Brazilian national side for a 12 -month contract.

While Alonso's impressive regime at Leverkusen has made him a top objective for Madrid – where he spent five years as a player.

Alonso, who led Leverkusen last year to an undefeated Bundesliga title, is supposed to be just as good as disappeared by the German side hierarchy.

As such, Leverkusen reportedly have already identified Erik ten Hag as their next manager.

Leverkusen, who are second in the Bundesliga this season, is already claimed to be in “advanced” conversations with Ten Hag – if not already in accordance with the Dutch manager.

Ten Hag was fired by Manchester United in October, despite winning both the League Cup and FA Cup in his first two seasons as Red Devils Boss.
